The pick-up loader is the centerpiece of the automated work piece handling system and has the following characteristics:
Pallet loading system is an integral part of the machining area. Benefit: requires no additional floor space, the integrity of the
machining area is guaranteed.
All movements are carried out by the existing CNC
axis and pneumatically controlled drives incorporating dead stops. Benefit: a cost-saving solution, as it requires no additional CNC drives.
When the loader is not in use its pick-up arm is parked in a collision-free
area.
The changeover sequence allows for work pieces to be closely set on the
pallet. Benefit: increased capacity.
The maximum work piece length could be limited by the loader design.
Rapid work piece changeover through easily replaced gripper fingers.
